To Grandma's House We Go

The kids and I took a really last minute trip to Grandma and Grandpa Stinky's house last week and got to stay for 3 whole days. The kids of course got spoiled rotten and I of course had to despoilize them when we got home. They had a wonderful time but were very happy to see their daddy when we got home. It actually worked out pretty good because it was district basketball tournament there so we got to see cousin Nate play. He did a great job and we were very proud of him. He had 30 points in one game. Way to go Nafan!! (as Gage calls you) So we weren't completely bored out of our minds in good old CB! So thanks Gramma and Grampa for letting us come visit you! We had a great time!
Grandma put the kids to work cleaning the kitchen!! Just kidding. They love to scrub things especially with the foaming spray. They couldn't get enough of it!

Happy Love Day!

Valentine's Day is actually not one of my very favorite holidays partly because I think it's kind of one of those holidays that is unnecessary. Shouldn't you show people that you love them everyday?? Also partly because it is so close to my birthday it just seems hectic. But actually this year turned out to be okay. I took the kids to a party with their friends and they both had a great time playing, eating junk, and just having a good time. The moms had a great time too eating chocolate cake, sugar cookies, cupcakes, salad, croissants, and candy. Can you say disgusting??? My darling husband brought me home some beautiful tulips and even bought a rose for Gage to give to me. Very sweet! Although he dogged me on our dinner plans he said name your price and I'm still thinking about that one. We had cousins Cooper and Hayden staying with us so we had tacos together and rented some movies and just had a lazy night. So all in all I guess it turned out pretty great. We love our family so much and are lucky to have each other! Hopefully we can all be more loving and appreciative of our loved ones in our life all year round and not just on this special day!

Busy Busy Week

From left to right: Pason, Carter, Kyler, Taegen, Levi, Macy, Gage.....poor Macy the only girl

So the day after my birthday my cousin's wife from Indiana was here with her 3 kids and I haven't gotten to see her and the kids for a year and half so we got to spend the day with them. They are so stinkin' cute and all of the kids pretty much played the whole day with no major fights. Can you believe it. She has two cute twins Taegen and Kyler and a little 3 month old Strider. We had lunch at the mall and played on the little playset and it's amazing how long the kids can play in one place and not get bored! We all had pizza together that night and were sad to see her go back. It's great for all of the cousins to get together and play and get to know each other. We miss you guys already!!!!! Thanks for playing with us.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had a wonderful 27th birthday on Wednesday but realized that I'm getting too close to 30. I can only say I'm in my mid 20's for a couple more years! YIKES! I went out to lunch with my aunt Poots and the kids and then came home and relaxed and then Steve, me, and the kids went to eat at the Staggering Ox, yummy sandwiches. After that we went to Costco and of course I got the kids some cute stuff rather than myself. Actually, I got to pick out my vacuum that he still owed me for Christmas. Steve asked me what I wanted and ended up just letting me order my own gift on-line. I wanted a new Dooney handbag so I ordered it and it should be here soon. YEAH!What a great husband, right???? I had a SUPER day with my family and Steve and Gage even made me a cake. The kids were so excited to blow out the candles with me. I had a great day and thank my family for making my birthday so wonderful!!!!

Mickey Mouse Live

We had a big day on Saturday and Gage was so excited he could hardly contain himself. We got to go see Playhouse Disney live with Mickey and Friends, Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and Tigger and Pooh. It was so worth it just to see the reaction on Gage's face when he saw all the characters. He was singing, dancing, clapping, and just having a wonderful time. But I love how all of these shows know how to nickel and dime ya for everything ya got. They have booths set up everywhere selling the most expensive things possible, and of course the light up things that the kids want are the most expensive. Well, needless to say, my children wanted the light up toys and we ended up spending $38 on them, but I guess since we don't do things like this everyday I can justify it :) We had so much fun and Gage was very sad when it was over, but later that night we went to the Park City basketball game and had some more fun. Macy and Gage have their ears covered when the band plays. Gage stays like that the whole time but Macy would only occassionally do it! She would much rather dance. On Friday night we had movie night and made popcorn and watched Finding Nemo. We had a GREAT weekend with our family and the kids had tons of fun.

Gage couldn't wait for Mickey Mouse to come out

Just like Mommy

Macy cracks me up and she loves to imitate her mommy, especially when she's on the phone. She likes to carry this play phone around with her and has even mastered holding it without any hands. She just tilts her head and holds it with her chin. That's my girl....already loving talking on the phone!
